City of Lansing Residents 60+ Needed to Serve on
TCOA Advisory Council
The Tri-County Office on Aging (TCOA) is the local Area Agency on Aging for Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham Counties, providing information and assistance, health and wellness programs, and in-home supports and services to older adults, adults with disabilities, and their caregivers. Formed as a Consortium of the three counties and the Cities of Lansing and East Lansing, TCOA is governed by an Administrative Board with input and guidance from an Advisory Council.
Advisory Council members are area residents age 60 and older who are appointed by their local unit of government to serve 3 year terms. The purpose of the Advisory Council is to provide programmatic input, advising the Area Agency on all matters relating to development and administration of the area plan and operations for coordinated and comprehensive services for older persons to improve quality of life and to allow them to live in their homes as long as they are able.
TCOA’s Advisory Council meets the 2nd Thursday of every month at 1:00 pm for 60 -90 minutes at the TCOA office at 5303 S. Cedar St., Building 1, Lansing (North end of the Ingham County Human Services complex.) There is typically no meeting in August.
