I Love My City event Sunday April 29th 

"I Love My City...Lansing" is an annual event in which local churches, business, and city officials partner together to improve neighborhoods in Lansing MI. Learn about the projects and how you can volunteer or donate HERE

The celebration will recognize Lansing volunteers, neighborhood leaders and neighborhood watch captains and coordinators for their amazing efforts in building strong, safe, livable neighborhoods in Lansing.  The event is moving this year to the Lansing Public Media Center (SWOC) and will feature live music, neighborhood displays and delicious local food vendors.  

Ticket Price: $11.95 ($10.50 + $1.45 fee) includes dinner from some of your favorite local Lansing restaurants and dessert.

A portion of ticket proceeds will be raffled off as mini-grants to neighborhood groups at the event!  Groups must be present to win.  

Neighborhood Groups get your displays ready!  You can bring them to the event and set up anytime after 4pm.

Housing + Neighborhood Resource Summit

Thank you to everyone who attended the Housing & Neighborhood Resource Summit.  Special thanks to all of our resource partner and 1st ward businesses who contributed giveaways.  

The next Summit will be Tuesday September 25th in the 2nd Ward at Forest View School. 

Capital City Classic

Athletes at the Lansing Promise Capital City Classic will celebrate Mother's Day on the field with flowers generously provided by local florist Jon Anthony. 

Walking Wednesday -- Eastside Connector

Thank you to everyone who came out for Walking Wednesday on the Eastside to talk about the Eastside Connector.  It was great to have representatives from Lansing Catholic present to discuss how the non-motorized trail will connect Lansing Eastern's two campuses, Lansing Catholic, and Pattengill to the surrounding Eastside neighborhoods.

CASE Credit Union Neighborhood Improvement Program

Homeowners with incomes at or below 80% of area median income (AMI) to rehabilitate their homes. 

Program Elements
• Existing homeowners with incomes *at or below 80% AMI
• Owner-occupants and must have resided in home 18 months prior to enrollment
• Recipients must be owner-occupants of the home being rehabilitated
• Five year retention requirement with a prorated recapture of assistance
• Eligible properties include single-family homes, condominiums and modular units
• Proposed costs are reasonable based on local market
• Mortgage obligation must be current paid as agreed

Eligible Improvements
• Recondition or replacement of heating, ventilation, air conditioning
• Replacement of well/septic system
• Replacement or repair of existing water heater
• Energy conservation improvements – Windows, Soffit and Fascia,Gutters                   Caulking, Siding, Roofing, Exterior Doors, Weather stripping
• Installation/repair of existing basement waterproofing system
Rehabilitation and repair of systems materials must be of similar quality, like and style.
