CSO 034C Project

The Lansing CSO 034C project is a sewer separation and road construction project designed to eliminate combined sewer overflows (CSOs).

The CSO 034C project will prevent sewage from entering the Grand and Red Cedar Rivers, as well as help to reduce the frequency of sewer backups into the basements of homes and businesses during severe storms. In addition, the Lansing Board of Water and Light’s water main will be replaced or upgraded as part of this project. The project is funded using sewer rates with no additional cost to residents and property owners.
