  1. Easter Egg Hunt at the Capitol

    April 15, 2017, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ State Capitol Lawn

    Its the most wonderful day of the year for the Lansing Jaycees! Easter Egg Hunt on the Capitol Lawn! Join us in the crisp spring morning air for set-up. Watch as the crowds start to gather and mill about at the steps of the iconic Capitol building, making crafts, petting Potter Park Zoo animals, getting balloon hats made by Crash the Clown and her sidekick. Then, THE HUNT! The best 30 seconds EVER, as we watch hundreds of children dive into the grass for Easter eggs! And we do it all again two more times for the other age groups!One of Lansing Jaycees signature events! Festivities for the children of the community include an egg scramble, raffle, several mascots to visit with, the Easter Bunny, and so much more! Volunteers are needed at 8:00 a.m. at the Capitol lawn. The public activities are from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., with the hunt beginning promptly at 11:00 a.m. sharp. The hunt will have separate areas for age ranges: 0 to 4 and 5 to 12. The raffle will follow.

  2. Bunny Hop & Easter Egg Hunt

    The Bunny Hop is a free event for children of all ages. There will be an Easter egg hunt (three different hunts for age groups), children’s games/activities, and the Easter Bunny will be available for free pictures! Children’s Games/Activities: Face Painting Guess how many eggs Coloring pages Easter Bunny says Sidewalk chalk Egg toss Bunny race Easter Egg Hunt: 1:30 pm Designated areas for age groups, 1-4, 5-8, and 9+ Join Velocity Martial Arts to learn about board breaking! We will give a quick overview of the basics of martial arts and teach you proper techniques for board breaking*. After you break your board, head over to our prize wheel where you are a guaranteed winner! *All children must be accompanied by an adult to break a board. Grab lunch at the Waterfront Bar & Grill or try the From Scratch Comfort Cruzine food truck, open at noon!
