Emergency Alert System (EAS)

EAS messages are the emergency notifications you see and hear on television and radio. The messages can come from federal, state or local government agencies. EAS notifications are issued county-wide and can be for civil emergencies as well as weather. EAS notifications can provide residents with emergency information, news, or instructions.
