Scholarship Information

The Lansing Parks and Recreation Department currently offers Youth Scholarships to Lansing Residents (Township residents i.e. Delta, Delhi, and Lansing Township do not qualify) under the age of 18 years old who need financial assistance to participate in eligible activities offered by the Lansing Parks and Recreation Department.

Parents/Guardians must submit scholarship applications (PDF) in person. Applications cannot be mailed, faxed, or emailed to the Parks and Recreation Department. If applications are received other than in person they will not be accepted. Learn more about youth scholarship eligibility requirements (PDF).

What to Bring with Scholarship Form

When submitting an application you must also bring valid identification showing current address and proof of income to complete the application process. Also current and valid WIC cards and bridge cards are considered proof of income.

When filling out an application please remember that you must fill out an application for each child applying for a specific program. If you have for example one child that is registering for multiple activities/programs a scholarship form must be filled out for each activity/program.
